The Sixteenth National Razi Research Festival is Held and TUMS Ranks First for the 8th Consecutive Year

TUMSPR News: In the sixteenth National Razi Research Festival held in Tehran on January 10, 2011, Tehran University of Medical Sciences Ranked first for the 8th year in a row by harvesting 43% of the awards in different fields of medical science.

The sixteenth National Razi Research Festival was held at the IRIB International Conference Hall on January 10, 2011, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) Ranked first for the 8th year in a row by harvesting 43% of the awards in different fields of medical science.

From the 660 participants of the festival, 44 were chosen to be introduced to the “National Elites Foundation”.

Among the total of 44 awards, 19 were given to TUMS including, 7 for scientific papers, 4 to student researchers, one in the junior researcher category, two to its research centers including TUMS Endocrine and Metabolism Research Center and Farabi Hospital’s Eye Research Center, 2 to its technology incubator research centers, one to the student committee research center, one to one of its 44 scientific journal, and one to the University itself.

The Iranian President, the vice-president for Research and Technology, TUMS Chancellor and the vice-minister for R&D at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education were the high profile guests of the festival.

National Research Center for Medical Sciences of the I.R.Iran (NRCMSI) has been organizing the annual Razi Medical Sciences Research Festival since 1995 to encourage innovation and help improve and develop Medical Science research.

2- Junior researchers (non_student below 30 researchers)
3- Student researchers in all fields of medical sciences
4- Investigators dedicated to Health Sector Reform
5- Novel hypotheses and ideas
6- Universities of Medical Sciences
7- Medical Sciences research Centers
8- Student Medical Sciences Research Committees
9- NGOs, charities and scientific societies that support medical science research
10- Scientific research journals

International:
1- Iranian researchers who reside abroad
2- ISESCO researchers:
