TUMSPR News: At the latest release by the Essential Science Indicator in May 2011, TUMS has leaped 129 places up in just two months to repeat its steady progress in the database.
Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) has achieved the 1341st place among peer institutes at the latest release by the Essential Science Indicator (ESI) in May 2011.
TUMS has leaped 129 places up in just two months to repeat its steady progress in the database. Moving 89 position higher in clinical medicine, TUMS has gained the 973rd position which grants the university a position below 1000 for the first time.
In Pharmacology and toxicology, TUMS has moved 34 ranks up to gain the 329th position. In Social Sciences, TUMS has made a 65-step progress to be the 677th contender.
The mean citation per paper for the institute is 4.28 and the highest citations have been to a paper published in BMJ and co-authored by one of TUMS faculty members.
This ranking is based on the analysis of data provided by ISI Web of Knowledge accumulated during January 2001 to February 2011. The data is updated on 2-month basis.
