Mokhber Dezfouli Emphasizes on the Need for Quality Articles to Increase Patents

TUMSPR News: Mohammadreza Mokhber Dezfouli, the secretary for the Iranian Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution said on Tuesday that scientific articles needed to be of more quality to increase the number of patents in the meeting in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) held for the unveilment of the stateĆ¢€™s scientific map in the health sector on May 3, 2011.


The secretary for the Iranian Supreme Council for Cultural Revolution, Mohammadreza Mokhber Dezfouli, emphasized on the production of quality articles to increase the number of patents in a meeting in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) held for the unveilment of the state’s scientific map in the health sector on May 3, 2011. He added that the number of patents from scientific articles was one in every 350 articles in Iran which greatly differed from what is seen in Japan and the US which were two and three patents per paper, respectively.

He also said the materialization of the objectives of the scientific map were dependent on the increases of the research budget from the GDP.
