A High-ranking Delegation of Turkey Visits TUMS Largest Hospital

TUMSPR News: A Turkish delegation visited the Nephrology Research Center and the Iranian Tissue Bank of the largest hospital of Tehran University of Medical Sciences on April 25, 2011.
Based on the news by the Public Relations of the Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex which is affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), a Turkish delegation visited the Iranian Tissue Bank located in the Hospital on April 25, 2011.
The delegation composed of Dr. Hussein Chaatin, the coordinator and the head of Radiology Department of Ataturk University, Dr. Arif Kapoaggasi, the deputy managing-director of the Turkey’s Social Security, the head of Cultural Affairs Office of Turkey’s Embassy in Iran accompanied by Dr. Aghighizadeh, the head of Iran’s Ministry of Health’s Office for Transplantation and Rare Diseases, Dr. Ghaemi from the aforesaid office, Dr. Djaffari, the head of the Hospital’s liver transplantation unit attended a session held at the Iranian Tissue Bank where Dr. Mitra Mahdavi-Mazdeh briefed the guests on the activities of the center. She also went over subjects such as the legal aspects of organ donation and its procedures in this regard.
