Professor Keyvan Mazda Operates for Hearts in Sina Hospital

TUMSPR News: Professor Keyvan Mazda operated five underprivileged patients with scoliosis (severe spinal deformity) on August 14-15, 2011; Dr. Golbakhsh and Dr. Mehrpour (Sina Hospital and Institute Volunteer physicians) assisted him in the surgeries.


Based on the news by the Public Relations of Sina Hospital, Professor Keyvan Mazda operated five underprivileged patients with scoliosis (severe spinal deformity) on August 14-15, 2011. Dr. Golbakhsh and Dr. Mehrpour from Sina Hospital and the Institute of Volunteer physicians, assisted him in the surgeries.

Professor Keyvan Mazda, a universally well-known Iranian-French surgeon, is famous for performing successful complicated spinal surgeries. He was invited by the international charity, Chain of Hope and conducted the surgeries on the disadvantaged Iranian children voluntarily. During his stay in Iran, he examined 300 children and operated 42 cases with severe spinal deformities.

Since 2008, Iranian and French physicians have cooperated with Chain of Hope Charity to help 1435 under 18 children with their treatment in fields of pediatric, pediatric orthopedics and surgery.
